Default I bought a jig

I bought one for $31 today. I will pick it up Thursday. I forgot what type I ordered though. How much do you save doing your own arrows? I didn't do it to save money, I did it because the shop kept giving me free fletching jobs and lots of help. I figured if they do it for free and lose money then I will buy a jig and do it myself. We both get a deal, he gets money and I save gas money.

I used to fletch my own a lot. I liked having all my arrows fletched identically. But then I got lazy and figured out that if I had 12 of them, on a turntable, I could fletch a dozen arrows in about the same time it took me to fletch one. Bitzenburger is probably the best, but I couldn't afford 12 of them. Mine were from Martin Archery. Another benefit is I know they are done right. I don't have to worry about someone elses shedding their vanes halfway to the target, or deer!

Ditto evcept I have Bitzenburgers. 12 arrows start to finish in 2 hours. This is being anal a$$. Give 30 minutes to dry between turns. I only use aluminum glue, carbon glue I think is junk, or at least it was.
