Good call! Supplement the income for a while and then if the business is there and you decide to go that route, expand it to full time.

I am sure that you have already done this but there are some nice tax breaks involved with owning your own business (especially one that also happens to be your hobby) that you should check out. You will get to start writing off all of your toys

The best of Luck to you. I owned and ran a Pro shop full time back in the early 80's. Jimmy Carter and 25% inflation helped my banker decide I couldn't make it. I think your smart to keep your 9 - 5 to pay the bills for now.
