Great guns for the money, one of my favorite budget .22's. What do you want to know? You need to be more specific if you want answers. Also if you do search we just has a thread about these guns not that long ago.
Oh, I'm talking about the model 60 semi auto, which model did you get?

ive had one of their bolt guns(think model 25?) for 7 years now. great shooting gun. i put a cheap tasco 4x scope on it and it does its job. i even shot indoor with it for 2 years. not competetively...just me and guys from school in the rifle club would go out and shoot once a week. man them guys got mad when i got bored shooting bullseyes all day...i started shooting their thumb tacks and dropping their targets that was at 50ft i believe..standard indoor range..maybe it was 75? i dont know..but its a good shooter and never had a problem with it

As long as we are on the topic Paul, what kind of 50 yard groups do you think we might get with one? My dotter is interested in a M60.
Thanks

That being said I have owned two over the years and both shot pretty well. The last one I had would shoot better than one inch groups at 50 yards with a 2-7x32 scope and ammo it liked. I even got some 1 inch groups at 100 yards with CCI velocitors out of it.
From what I have seen the marlins tend to be more accurate out of the box than the ruger 10/22's are, and for less money. Not always though, and the 10/22 has more potential as far as upgrades go if you wanted to target shoot with it.

I have a Marlin and my buddy shoots a Ruger 10/22. We set up a target at 50 yards and after while we get bored shooting the target so we start shooting out the tacks holding up the target. We can shoot them out pretty easy. You just need to see which brand your gun prefers.

A .22 round can travel many miles so be careful with it. Like Paul said - be a bit more specific with the questions you have. Folks will certainly help you out and answer them.

marlin in my opinion is one of the top manufacturers of guns. For the money there exellent. For my first gun my dad bought me a model 60 and he paid about $130 it works exellent and is still the most accurate .22 i have shot, but it deos get a fair amount of jams but nothing to serious

I agree with Sned162. My wife recently bought me a 1983 manufactured Marlin Model 60. Looks and shoots like a champ. Excellent gun. In my experience, Marlin is synonomous with tack driver.
