I don't think I'm qualifind to answer this question as I've only taken one mature buck.

My best suggestion is hunt often and in less than perfect weather. If you uncomfortable sitting because of the weather chances are the deer are as well. Just wait and they'll be along shortly.

It's never going to happen though, for one because there's is no rifle season where I live and two because I don't think my Shih Tzu would appreciate a gun going off in the house and momma doesn't like it when someone scares her baby

I did however get to watch a 130 (high 130s) class eight point breed a doe in the front yard! Not everyone can say they have seen that especially not in their front yard But I understood your point exactly I prefer the "must be present to win" just for smarta$$es like me
