Default Bowtech paint touch up

I was wondering if anyone could help me? I recently purchased a new 2004 Patriot. However when I opened the box I found small patches where the dip had not adhered and there was aluminum showing through. I had recently seen a post where there had been problems with the finish on 2004 Bowtechs. I would like to know how to touch up these small areas and with what paint could I use? Any help would be appreciated because Bowtech has not been giving me a straight answer on this one Thanks

If they are only small scratches you could use a magic marker to touch up.
Personally I would not use paint.

A black sharpie pen works well.......dab a dot of ink on the spot and then rub with your finger to blend it into the camo. Repeat if it still shows through.

I do much the same as the others with the black magic marker. However, it does not hold very well in areas that normally experience alot of contact....the grip area, edges of the limb pockets, etc... I do not have a recommendation on paint though as I have not gone to that extent with it. I would guess that any normal hobby/model paint would work but would try to use it only on the riser as there may be some form of additive in the paint which could potentially harm the limbs.

Hope this helps.

Hi guelph299
I used a flat olive or lighter colored army model paint TESTERS.
A very small model paint brush. And dab the color onto the bow don't brush it on just dab .A little is best just out of the lid.Mix colors if you have to, to get the right texture.I did this on my 04 pro 40 and yes i seen some very small places where the metal did not get covered pin hole size spots, but it doesn't affect the way the bow shoots and it will get lots of wear and tear come hunting season.
I've seen some colored bowtechs and they look awsome .

shootem straight !!!

For the price I would send it back. Its one thing to have it rub off but to have it sent to you that way doesn't seem right to me.
