it sounds real funny but we installed it inside the riser, this way we could get a true center shot,we had it out side the riser like it would be typically put on but the c/s was way off.I still get good flight and we dont see any fletching contact with the bolt head.
HEY EXTREME I HAVE AN 02 EXTREME SOLO. I HAVE A QUICKTUNE 2000 DROP AWAY. I HAD THAT SAME CONCERN WITH MY BOW. THE FORKS ON MY REST HAS TWO HOLES SO YOU CAN MOUNT THE FORKS EITHER THE CONVENTIONAL CENTER SHOT WAY OR TO THE LEFT AND I MEAN WAY LEFT. I NEVER THOUGHT OF MOUNTING THE WHOLE REST BRACKET ON THE INSIDE OF THE RISER, GOOD IDEA. WHEN I FIRST STARTED PAPER TUNING MY BOW I WAS GETTING A RIGHT NOCK TEAR. I EYEBALLED THE CENTER SHOT AND SEEN THAT IT WAS WAY OFF. SO I JUST MOVED THE FORKS OVER TO THE OUTSIDE HOLE AND VOILA CENTER SHOT ACHIEVED AND BYE BYE RIGHT NOCK TEAR. I MIGHT TRY AND MOUNT MINE ON THE INSIDE OF THE RISER IF I HAVE ANY MORE PROBLEMS WITH MY CENTER SHOT.

I went to my dealers tonight to pick up my patriot, and i am very pleased with it.I set it up with a copper john dead nuts site and a nap 1000 pro.Its a 70 lb version with 29 in mod.Only problem is i need a 28 inch draw.I know i can set the draw stop to get 28. 5 inch draw at 65% let off but i have no idea where to set it.I haven't got the manual with the bow.If anyone has the manual can they please let me know.I know the draw is a half inch longer then what i am used to but will give it a try.I know i can order in a 28 inch mod and fix the problem real quick, but want to play with it a bit.I shot the bow tonight at 29 in and it didn't feel to bad but it didn't have a peep installed.Thanx for any advice and help.

Jason,

If you can tell me what draw length and let off you desire I'll give you the module number and draw stop location you'll need.

You need to be careful not to set the draw stop too far towards the "L" end of the cam as it can cause the cam to over rotate and may damage the harness.

Please e-mail me at [email protected]

Regards, Pat

Thanks Extreme1! yes I love the way it shoots! it is awesome! My dealer ordered it and the first one came in within two weeks but it was a 70lb and I ordrerd A 60 LB. So when the replacement came in, it was in 29 so the module was replaced. I got it within one month of the order being placed overall. No I did not get a manual or anything with the bow but the bare metal wear on the limb pockets. I phoned my dealer and got the information that it had been looked at but it was sent out ASAP so it was in that condition when it came from North Sylva. I called Bowtech and I got a number of excuses and no real answer so I am not real happy with Bowtech either. I was redirected back to North Sylva and they said that they would replace the limb pockets and the chewed up idler. But my original question was why did they let it go out in that condition in the first place? And he wanted me to send the bow to him but after seeing some of the posts here, I am now reconsidering doing that. What is the story with North Sylva anyways. I have found my experience very frustrating. Thanks

Extreme1 Congrats on your new bow.

If you want to find a spot on there that you like it takes 2 people.

what i did was loosen the allen screw for your stop and draw the bow back to your anchor spot. Have the second person mark the cam or tighten the set screw where you like it. This will give you a lesser amount of let off but your draw length will be correct. But if you want a higher let off then you will have to get the 28" module.

Thank you for all the replys guys, and some good information.
KY-it really does work with it mounted inside the riser, may look a little funny but my dealer and i were just playing and it worked, now i have an original---lol
Thank you bowtech shooter, you just might get an e-mail real soon.Normally i would shoot just a hair over 28 inches draw but will try 28.5 with 65% let off, just need the proper setting.
Guelph---I got everything that i asked for in my bow except it came with 29 in mods,my dealer even threw in a hat,a new bowtech calendar, which is very nice and a few other goodies,i am very impressed. If you want to read up on "bowtechs in canada"here in the forums you will see that your not the only person getting played
Hi NwOutdoorShop.Mydealer"also friend"will play with it on monday or tuesday night, hopefully find a setting im happy with,if not, looks like im ordering a 28 in mod, just hope it dosn't take to long if i do
And JEFF B-----My birth certif says 29 in draw----71.2 lbs----350 grain arrow and chronoed at 309 fps-----IM IMPRESSED
sorry if i missed anyone elses reply but i just got home from work and i am very tired

Congrats on the bow.
Here's my current 2004 Patriot VFT stats- not overly impressive, but doable-

Peep sight, string loop& bowtech string things

64# draw maxed out (ordered that way)
29" draw
395 gr carboneroes arrow= 273 fps
426 gr beman ics 340 arrow= 264 fps

replaced nocks with tun nocks-
388 gr arrow= 277fps
421.5 gr arrow= 267 fps (this is the set up I may hunt with)

replacing the factory slide with an alpine glide slide aquired 2pfs, but the cable and string are awefully close, I will have to watch for wear.
When the string things fall off I foresee replacing them w/ string leach's gaining another ~2fps.

Hope this helps, if you hunt over 64# the speed will only increase from there.

Enjoy, p.s. locktight the module screws in place after you decide the module is right for you. Mine were about to fall out when I went to try my 29.5" module. Your dealer should be able to get the right module for you.

Forgot to mention, shot my stalker after shooting the Patriot a while and the stalker sounded/felt like a cannon going off compared to the patriot. The first shot had me looking at it to make sure it was still in one piece.
I was shooting the 388 gr arrow with the stalker only pulling 59#'s.

I'm not dogging the stalker as I've always bragged about how much I liked it, but after shooting the Patriot- THERE IS NO COMPARISON!!!!
