i was wondering your opinions on the drop away arrow rests. im gonna get one this summer, but i was wondering if anyone had any experienced advice. right now i just prefer a rest with arm to rest the arrow on, so that the arrow is less likely to fall off when im in the tree. also, on the ones that "raise" when you pull back by the line attached to your string, does that line effect arrow flight? thanks in advance

Well I was sceptical for a while untill I finally tried one out this year. I am a Nap Quicktune drop away, and I probably will never switch. I really like the drop aways and not just because it is on my setup but because the really work well and made tuning easier for me.

I just purchased a NAP 2000RG to try on my Mathews LX. Haven't had the time to install it this week though[&o]. I haven't tried a drop away rest yet and am looking forward to seeing if it is any better or not. I'm curious too as to others experiences with this particular product....

I've only had experience with one in particular. I tried the Montana Black Gold Trap Door drop-away rest on my RazorTec and my SuperTec. I'm not sure if you're familiar with it, but it doesn't work off cables or ropes, it works off of the inertia created when you fire the bow. It was terrible, I couldn't get it tuned right it's a hassle to use and the arrow will not stay on the rest at much of a tilt of the bow. You have to calibrate the angle of the flipper first, but you can't do that until you calibrate the tension required to make the rest fall, but you can't do that accurately until the angle is calibrated. In other words it's near impossible to tune. Before every shot you have to remember to cock the rest first, which gets to be a hassle and it does not work in cold weather. At least mine didn't, but it didn't always work in the summer time. Maybe I had a bad apple, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, even my worst enemy.

On further thought, I've been much happier with my Bodoodle ProLite and I'd recommend it to anyone. I think I'm going to give that GKF Golden Premier a shot pretty soon.

I have a trophy ridge drop zone and absolutely love it. I've never had fletch contact and it is pretty quiet. I recommend it highly.

I installed the Muzzy zero Effect on my BowTech Patriot Dually this season it has a large hook on it so that your arrow can't fall off ,It's very easy to install as long as you follow the instructional video .The arrow rest work's flawlessly and is probably just what your looking for . There is no line to attach to your cables . Try it I'm sure you'll agree that it's just what the doctor ordered .If you contact Ausie Guy he'll help you out with any problem's ,he put me onto this rest and I'm very glad he did.
