Are them Bow presses like the bowmaster any good ?
"Do any damage to the bow if used alot"
I'd like to be able to do work on my own bow, but I hate to put out a 100+ for a bow press when I can make one like I ask about for about 6 buck's
Thanks in advance
I know I'm cheap [:'(]

I have a Bowmaster (my second one) and an Apple hydraulic. I use the Bowmaster ost of the time simply because I'm usually at the club shooting outdoors when I'm tinkering. It does work rather well for it's simplicity. It's easier to use if you get the split-limb adaptors. They will work on solid or split limbs. Total cost for one of these with the adaptors should be about $50 which is a lot better than $300 or so for a good permanent press.
