I have owned 3 over the years. Screaming Eagle, Strike Force and Lite Force Magnum. Without a doubt, Oneida bows are the smoothest shooting bows I ever shot. I also found them to be easy to work on and tune. I have no experience with the Black Eagle, but the basic design and shooting characteristics should be the same.

I owned the Tomcat for 14 years and absolutely loved it. It was hard to buy a new one when your old one is still killing deer.

I bought the Blach Eagle a few years back and find it smaller and lighter. I also added a red dot scope. Its so accurate it should be illegal. It's an awesome bow very easy to work on. As a side note when your standing and waiting for the big one, the lower limb slips nicely in your pocket. This takes all the weight off and will allow you to keep your hands warm.

I don't (and don't know anything about them) .......but I did find out about a bow company the other day that makes a bow real similar to the Oneidas......but with no eccentrics !

I think they were called Firebrand .......may be something you'd be interested in.....or maybe not ??? Good Luck !

Firebrand
Found it.

http://www.discoverybowhunting.com/

Yes, well.......
Oneida and this Firebrand are the only true centreshot bows.....
Much more i cannot think about.
I have tried it. More than once.
Did it on 3D and target.
They made to much noise to even take them out of the car when going hunting.
I know there are all kind of silencers for this but it would make them even more slowly rthan they allready are.
If they where sooooooo good i would see them more arround, huh?
Its just not my kind of bow.

sorry.

It depends on your pockets? I love both of my Oneida's. They both have killed plenty of deer. The Black Eagle is lighter, smaller, easier to work on (not by much) and much more expensive. That's all relative when you divide by the number of years I plan on using it. That would be forever unless I go with a recurve, but I wouldn't give up my compound.
