If I start to see that sky turn light - and I am not in my stand - I start to panic[]

I feel best when I have to sit for an hour before I can shoot.

Unless its real cold out

Bob,

That sounds plausible though my experiences are just the opposite. I guess it depends on the area that you hunt. If I were to wait until it got light out I would not only kick out deer but also run into about a half dozne hunters walking to my stand.
