nothing beats an elk in the rut bugling down your backside.
As far as the arrow is concerned, don't be concerned. Hit 'em where you're supposed to, out of a well tuned bow, and it's meat in the freezer.

I've taken two bull elk with my bow and used a carbon arrow on my first one with a mechanical broadhead and he went three steps and fell over. My second elk I shot with an aluminum arrow and a cut on contact broadhead, he went maybe 30 yards and tipped over. Like alot of other people have said, it's where you plant the arrow and not necessarily what it is made of. Check on regulations in the state you are hunting and also the guide service you may be hunting with regaurding broadheads. Have a great hunt.
