A+ Mikes Archery in Irvington Illinois. The owner(Mike Kottkamp)offered to set up a new Mathews for my bro-n-law to use when his PSE blew and was being repaired. Great guy always has time to help even if he is swamped with work.

There are 2 that I go to in Central PA, One is the same as CodyinPA goes to (Clarence Archery). Great guys and very knowledgeable and always willing to help and answer questions, They Deffinitly get an A. The other I go to is The Bowhunters Shop in Warriors Mark, PA. They get an A- only because sometimes you don't get as great advice or service when the owners there as you do when one of the workers (Sherry) is there. Sherry really knows her stuff and is always willing to tell you the honest to god truth, and is not concerned about just making a sale.

Sorry to say my closest pro-shop is now my x-pro shop.Knowledgeble-yes,inventory-good,bedside manner from A+ to zilch-notta-zero!Spend 500 bucks one day, don't know you the next.Have refered several customers to them who have had bad experiences also.Even questioned my integrity as a person.I just can't support or deal with a business that acts as if they really don't need you,the customer,on any given day.I have had good luck with Keystone Country store for my needs as of late, and am always looking for other shops in the area. It's ashame Macrotech,I miss the convenience.

My pro shop gets an A. It is Teds Sports Shop in Southeast MO. He is VERY knowledgable(SP) on archery. He has had his shop for about 25 years and is willing to go out of his way to help you.

Indian Mountain Archery A+ knowledge of archery and setting up equipment is first rate, customer service is even better.Brought my 6 year old daughter to shop last night while I got my new bow set up and Sharon who works at the shop sat and colored with her for 2 hours while Phil got me set up and answered all of my quetions.I have delt with other shops here in the Rochester-upstate NY area and to say my experiences where terrible would be an understatement.

I wouldn't rate one of my local shops a B. They have very little selection but their tech is pretty good. They are friendly and have a good attitude.

The other shop is I would rate a C-. They have a little better selection than the other shop. The tech's are about equal. But the attitude sucks. If you don't shoot what they shoot, it's a piece of junk etc. The bad part is that it's a man and wife who own this shop and he is a nice guy but his wife is a smart @$$ and half of the guys I know, avoid the place like the plague because of her attititude. I got so sick of her a while back that I started driving 95 miles (one way) to buy from Bass Pro, to keep from having to buy from her. I like the conveinence of a local shop and I would rather spend my money in my own community, but I am going to be treated with respect or I will take my money else where.
