All the bows mentioned are nice ones and you wouldn't go wrong with any of them. I'll add one more to the list, check out the Parker line also. They don't do much advertising and don't get all the hype as the others but rest assured they make a high quality bow with the hunter in mind. They also have great customer service should you ever need to use it. Visit Parker's website and check them out or give them a call and have them send you a catalog. Good luck in your search and whatever bow you choose.

Thanks for the input guys. I do not have a BowTech dealer anywhere near me. I am going to have to limit my shooting to Mathews, Hoyt, Parker, PSE & Archery Research.
PLease give me some idea about what to look for in theese new bows?

On the Xtec, you can expect a riser that is the same length of the ultratec and the limbs are more parallel oriented, not quite parallel, but you can tell Hoyt is heading that way, atleast with some models. The bow will be about 35 inches AtoA and not sure about speed, but I thinking somewhere around 300fps IBO. The cam really feels good on the Xtec, really smooth. Should make an excellent bow.
No experience with the other listed.

I shot the Mathews Outback, LX & Legacy. I also shot the Hoyt XTec & RazorTec last night.
Out of the five bows I prefered the XTec & Outback. I walked away last night without buying a bow. I will shoot them both one more time & then decide. Last night I just felt like I needed more time to decide.
kevin8989, You are correct Archery Research bows are made by PSE.

i heard the same thing about archery research----the only thing they dont make for there bows is the limbs----the risers they produce for bowtech.they are a solid company with great reviews,go to huntersfriend.com and check out there bow comparison chart----overall scores ar34 with cam and a half has the best score of most bows.especially on overall length of other bows.i am waiting for diamond archery to upgrade there web site to check out there new gladiator series

You might be better off calling them and having them send you a brochure. That way you can look at the bow and specs, before next year.

I think for hunting in the Hoyts the Xtec is the way to go. In the Mathews the Outback. And in the Bowtech I think the '04 Single cam Patriot. I don't think you can look at just the ATA anymore. When 32-34 ATA bows are coming in with 23-25 inch risers they're not the same animals as when you picked up the thunderbolt.

Thanks for all of the help guys. I have a new thread started titled Help me with a Hoyt. I have limited my choice down to the RazorTec & XTec. I told the owner of the pro shop I would decide tonight between the two bows.
Please read the new thread & give me your 2-cents worth. I really do want & need your help.
Thanks,
Wolf Killer
