I saw the one where he spined the warthog. He said something that indicated he intended to hit him there. That should have gotten the show yanked right then. I've posted about this show before. If it weren't for the recipes, I would never watch it. It just keeps getting more ridiculous, apparently.

I wish I had read this post before the show was on tonight. Unreal that I just watched it and got on computer to see what was going on. I would have paid a lot more attention than I did if I had known I was watching the show in question. It did look like a bad shot to me also, but without paying really close attention, I didn't notice if it was a different deer or not. Do you guys KNOW it was a different deer for sure?? If so this show should be yanked. That's ridiculous to be so desparate for footage to show someone make a horrible, irresponsible shot, and then show a staged recovery scene with another buck. Are we SURE that's what happened???????
I didn't pay close enough attention, so I just want to know if anybody is 100% positive about it. I did notice that the staged scenes of the archer in the tree drawing on the buck were in full bright sunshine, looked to be about mid-day, whereas the shot scene was cloudy, lowlight conditions. This suggest the different edited and spliced scenes used to make-up that show were filmed at different times, maybe even different days!
My guess is the most useful thing would not be to email the "Better Built" website, but instead email the Outdoor Channel website. If you really want to get a kid in trouble, don't you tell his parents????????? Maybe email them both.
My take is this: These people really suck. This results in minimal amounts of quality hunting footage. Therefore, in order to produce the show, they have to start off by hunting fenced enclosures to improve their odds. Then they have to use pathetic footage like what we saw and lie about it. To further fill the gap,"Better Built world of HUNTING" is now showing fishing shows(not enough hunting footage). And if that's not enough, how about burning up some airtime with hillbilly Jacques???
I will never watch this show again, even if it was the same buck. I can't stand this kind of crap![:@][:@][:@][:@] Good bye Crock Ray, I mean Brock Ray...

i saw a show where they had the hunter in a raised box blind...in the bed of a truck. they just drove around until they spotted a nice deer, then they stopped, and the hunter shot it. a real nice south texas hunt.

Yesterday I sent an e-mail to Brock Ray voicing my ( and also included that by the posts on this thread alot of others) opinion and dissapointment on this weeks show, and also shows from the past. I tried to write it in a very civil manner without slamming him in the face but also getting the point across. I had my wife read it to be sure it sounded ok. She said it did come across in a civil tone, but she wanted to see the video of the incident that I taped before I sent it to see if it did indeed warrant the negative view that so many of us are expressing. I showed her the tape, and she said " Send it!! That voice narration is an out and out lie. That wasn't anywhere near being in the lungs." I am anxious to see if I receive a reply from him or not. I seriously doubt but you never know. I know for a fact that if I had a show and tried to pull of something like that ( which I honestly never would) I would definitely be doing a lot of damage control. I told him in the e-mail that he could have used this footage to show that unfortunately bad hits do happen, and then show the proper way to recover an animal that had been hit like this. But instead he tried to cover it up and try and fool us into thinking it was a great shot. He really blew it. I will post if I recieve any kind of reply.

i saw joe bucher hunting on two deer he shot and both gut shot but he admitded one took a step just when he shot and the other one while all a can say is buck fever but he admited it and said you have to give it your best to find the deer or put another shot in him well he got both deer with a fininsing shot.. at frist rate a believe that a bowhunter have no right to shot at a running or walking deer. unless they are close and you feel comfadient...

Wll I received an e-mail reply from Brock Ray about this weeks show. He said that the wrong voice over tape was run with the video. Sorry I don't buy it . The voice over went with evrything happening in the video, running deer, checking the arrow etc. How could it be the wrong tape when it was describing the hunt. I give him credit for at least replying and he did say that there was no excuse for what happened, but his explination still doesn't jive to me. I still am done watching that show ever again. Wasn't real impressed before this happened.

Thanks for the update. That was not a very good response from Brock. It sounds like this wasn't the first time they've done some questionable things on the show. I'm done watching that show also.
