Default Some deer in Minnesota still have their head gear!

There is a house down the street from us where they feed the deer all the time, and every nite just before dark the deer start coming out to feed. Well, tonite my wife drives by there on the way home from work and there is a little 6 point and a little 4 point out there goofing around. I was a little surprised to see that they still had their head gear. I thought most of them would have dropped by now here in Minnesota. Now, if I could just get one to walk in front of my Trail cam. I just thought I would share this with you all.

BigDaddy, I have just starting seeing bucks coming around that has either dropped both or just one of them. The big boy that we have seen around has finally dropped one of his racks, looks I'll be doing my walk again this year.

Here in Montana, I saw my first bare-headed buck on Jan. 10, a two-year old. Our wildlife biologist does his aerial surveys in early January, so all the bucks still tote horns.

I think in central Minnesota right now half of the bucks have their racks. I was amazed last year from my cam photos, that 25 % had them the last week in Feb. I do think they're comming off alittle earlier this year.

Good Luck!

I've seen bucks with both antlers as late the second week of April here in PA.
