Default formula for kentic energy?

just wondering what is the formula fo figuring a bows kentic energy?
i thought it was speed times weight but not sure?

Speed X speed X arrow weight (in grains) divided by 450240

Example: 400 grain arrow at 280 fps.. (280 X 280 X 400)/450240 = 69.65 ft lbs.
