and my bowhunting season will be over. I still have a antlerless and buck tag left, and most likely they will be unfilled. This late season has been unbelievable as far as seeing big bucks. I have never had the opportunity to see these many nice bucks in the last portion of bow season. Unfortunetately, every time I see them they have been out of range and/or came in from the unexpected direction, and the wind played heck with my position. They are usually with several does, so the extra eyes, ears, and noses are compounding the problem. When I have had shot opportunities, its been does and young bucks. I've been laying off the doe tag for fear of a bruiser coming. Guess I will wait until the last day and try to take a doe for the freezer if a nice buck don't come in range. These dang deer are bunched up and will not use the same trails and are moving around to different areas. But its been fun. So.......after Thursday, it will be only 8 months and 15 days until the 2004 season begins!!!!!

See my vine on similar thoughts. I'm starting to like this late season stuff. I've seen more bucks in January than I did during the rut. I've got frigid air coming in by weeks end- I might be in for another show. I've got until the 19th in KY.

Ya, but just think how lucky you are to get to hunt thru the whole season, doing something you love to do! I have tagged out on bull elk twice on the very last day of archery hunting, and enjoyed hunting through out the whole season, but my wife did'nt enjoy it so much. What really drives me nuts is to tag out on that first week.
But good luck CM, three days, anything can happen, that trophy of a lifetime just might decide to appear from nowhere and within bow range.

Good luck on your season ending quest. I can sure relate with your dilemma.
Our season ended here Saturday. I never even saw fur...muzzleloaders walking all over me.
I have been pulling stands the last three days, thinking of what might have been, perhaps next year my B&C quest will be fulfilled, perhaps not. No matter, my enjoyment is in the journey not the destination.
Now it is on to scouting, planning, and shed hunting until turkey season arrives.

MY OLD KENTUCKY HOME! Go get em Bluegrass. Those days at UK bring back fond memories. By the way is the tavern THE JEFFERSON DAVIS INN still in existence? I cannot remember the corner but it was downtown, couple of blocks from Rupp Arena. Talk about keg trowin!

I'm pullin' for you big-time, Greg!
I'm going out to pull my stands which I shot both bucks from this year tomorrow morning, and to check my new Stealth Camera which I put out Christmas day. That 160-class buck I took the next day ran right by it seconds after my arrow went through him; I sure hope I caught him on film. Wouldn't that be a cool pic to hang beside him?
Oh. Did I mention I saw all my deer in the evening? Noticed you mentioned three "mornings" left... might try the afternoons too... Good luck!
