used to use flags but people that thought that it was "their" public land always took them down but since I got my GPS like 3 years ago I use it and never have to turn on a flashlight. I also study the terreain and dont use my gps unless I have too.

I just know the woods that I hunt in very well, and I could probably find my treestands with my eyes closed!

I know most of the woods i hunt a lot like the back of my hand so in most instances I just walk straight to my stand. I do carry my gps but have never had to use it to locate a stand.

i can see in the dark. i never use a flashlight any more. i take my time and mark landmark trees. But this place has a nice trail that i follow all the way to the top of the mountain so its pretty easy, even in the dark
