I've never had mine that close (w/i 5yds)- I'll give it a try and see what happens at that distance. I can also run a video, I'd paid $460. CAD$ for mine--I know they're not cheap, but like you've mentioned the beauty is seeing the pictures immediately, leaving what you want on there and deleting the ones that aren't any good.
How is it on 'batteries'? I'm not sure if I can tie it down to the cold weather, but mine chews batteries this time of the year.
