Fletch-Tite or Fastset?

I'm trying to do my own arrows and the guy at the bow shop sold me some Fastset and fletching accelorator. The two products totaled $19.00.
When comparing this solution to Fletch-Tite, he said the Fastset would hold better (especially since I use a Wisker-Biscuit). However, my brother-in-law swears by Fletch-Tite (which is a heck of a lot cheaper but takes longer to set up).
What do you think, should I keep the more expensive Fastset and accelerator or take it back and go with the Fletch-Tite?
BTW, I had to buy the accelorator because my vanes didn't have the accelorator on them already (like the Arizona vanes).
Thanks,
Darren
PS: The Fastset package doesn't show the ingredients, however, I wonder if there is a similar product available that doesn't cost as much? The stuff is probably just Super Glue in a different package?

Fletch tite is made for aluminum arrows. Bond tite is made for carbons. I used fastset on the arrows I just did and also use the biscuit. I only have about 20 shots on them but are hold up great. I believe you made the right choice with the fastset.

I tried bond tite on Carbon arrows and its awful. Very brittle when it dried. I tried doing three different arrows. Shot them all once before fletching started to come off or came completely off while in flight. Only one arrow had all three left on. Brought it beck inside and pulled a fletch off without trying at all. Went to BP and picked up some fletch tite. Gonna try it out tomorrow and see how it works. I'll let ya know.

Fastset is nothing more than a very thick super glue. I've been using the Fastset for a number of years now and it works great. Plus you can make arrows much faster than with Fletchtite because of the difference in drying time. Here is a quick tip for using the Fastset:
This works for both carbon and aluminum arrows and the vanes of your choice. I prefer using Arizona but to each his own.
Pour a small amount of accelerator into a very small cup. (you only need a little) Get some Q-tips. Now put the vane in the clamp. Apply the Fastset glue to the vane and set it aside. Dip the Q-tip into the accelerator and swab the accelerator onto the arrow shaft where the vane is to be placed. Allow a few seconds for the accelerator to start to evaporate, then press the vane clamp down onto the shaft. That's it. The vane is attached and dry in a matter of seconds. I have been using this method for quite a while and my arrows hold up well. Give it a try. Good luck..........Jim

I've used Bond tite for several years on Goldtips with good results but started using the Fastset last year and i think i like it better. I've also used super glue (loctite 404) when i didn't have anything else and it worked also.

I use the original Fletch-Tite on my Gold Tips w/ feathers. No problems here, though I do use a drop-away. I do not like super glues b/c you have to be meticioulous (sp?) when stripping your arrow or you will be stripping carbon off also. JME/O.

That's what I figured. I assume the accelorator does just what the name implies, speeds up the set time. So I am guessing that Fastset is just a super glue that doesn't set as quick. [b]Does the accelorator serve any other purpose? In other words, if I start using Super Glue, am I missing out on something because I am no longer using the accelorator? ...I would guess not but thought I'd ask anyway.
Fastset is nothing more than a very thick super glue.
Super glue gel from Wal-Mart. $1.50 a tube. Sometimes you can get two for the same price.

I use Fletch Tite on alum and carb arrows with no problems and have shot the bisquite a few years ago for two years and had no problems what so ever.
