Default "Robin Hood" Shot

How many of you guys and gals have done this? First arrow hit the 3D target then the second arrow hit and stuck into the first one. After that I picked everything up and headed home.

Well... I've done 5 with a compound, 6 with a recurve and 4 with a longbow. Some as close as 20 yards, some as far away as 60 yards. But most were between 35-45 yards. I try to avoid doing that any more, but every once in awhile I'll get stupid and decide to shoot for groups. Like a couple weeks ago with my longbow.... Whack! Doi-oi-oing![X(]

It's funny how the attitude changes after a few. First time it's, "Dang! I actually did it!" After you notice you're collection is getting a litte too extensive (and expensive), it becomes, "Crap! I did it again!"

Congratulations on the shot! But beware, because now they'll start coming in bunches if you're not careful.

I had two this year at 40 yds

And one at 20

I do my best to avoid it by using multiple spots as much as possible.

But sometimes you just have to stack em

I've shafted four. Three of mine and one of someone elses. Anybody else ever shaft another shooters arrow. I don't know of someone else who has. By the way, I did save that one and it sits on my Entertainment Center. Now, I shoot at different spots. The ACC's I shoot now get kinda expensive.

Merry Christmas and many Twelve Rings for all!!!

I have 3 just this year.. and some really perfect ones - right down the centers

Arthur - you are so right - First time it's 'really cool I got a Robin Hood'

Second time it's " Wow - I did it again"

Third time its, "Ok, I can shoot tight groups but this is gettin expensive"

I shot my Robin hoods all with my new compound this year - have not done it with my new bow

By the way Arthur - thanks for the nice comments about my bow I built - it shoots fantastic....... I am starting to get a little more consistant but have a ways to go to burn the memory back into myself...... but I love the bow...

Me and a couple buddies play knocks once in a while. Before bow season started we would play everyday. They dont like to play much anymore. I cant figure out why.
