brand new to bow hunting- searching for:

a good beginner's bow that won't empty my pockets ( i also gotta buy all the neat calls and a tree stand)

keep in mind that i'm not a very big guy.

There are others but I would recommend the Parker Hunter

Nice bow - you can get a package deal for a little over 300

Go to a bowshop. Usually you can fire a few arrows through the ones you are interested in and get a feel for the bow. Then decided.

Just about every company has complete packages you can pick up. Many Pro shops do the same thing too, right down to arrows. You need to go and find out your draw length and shoot a few bows. Look into used bows too. You might be able to get a really good set up for a reasonable price. A far as what company to go with that's something you need to find out by trying different bows.
