Default Late season bow tips??

Allright what's the deal with late season bow? Any of you guys have a different or specific strategy for late bow. I'm in NY and wondering what my best chances may be to find deer during late bow after the woods have been shot up for a few weeks. The woods have actually calmed down the last 10 -12 days or so, as far as hunters and shots heard.
Do you fall back to early season strategies?
Is it worthwhile hunting open food plots this time of year?
Do you stick to your late gun season strategies, hunt the core areas and go deep and thick?
Will my only chance be the mysterious 2nd rut and setting back up on rub and scrape lines?
Should I go for the underground tunnels?
Any calls or scents be effective?
Is it an exercise of futility?

thanks for any input. 5 days to find a buck.

NY, you have snow on the ground don't you? If so and it's cold hit the food plots, stay until dark. Deer tracks should tell the story. The morning option is hunt the bedding grounds. Focus on not bumping any deer, they are really touchy after season.

I climb up higher as the cover leaves are gone this time of year. Other than that I do everything about the same..

I always go back to early season tactics. Stick close to food sources, the rut tends to take the weight off a buck, and with the coldest months of the year coming up, they simply have to pack the fat back on. I also agree with bowbow, tracks in the snow are a surefire way to make an exciting hunt happen. Good luck!!

I hunt the food. I see the most deer in fields this time of year. They are everywhere. Usually within half hour past dark. So they will be in transition areas before going into the open fields. But I have seen a lot of deer in fields before dark. Usually still durring rifle season.
