I am with Hyawatha. I bowhunt only for big game. Shotguns/rifles are meant for ducks/trespassers.

I' m a member of the Bow hunt only crowd.

I have no desire to gun hunt anymore and it has been that way for about 8 years now.

I gun hunt as well. I have started changing things up a bit in gun season using shorter ranged rifle, and next year, probably go to hunting with a pistol.

I hunt with bow, rifle, shotgun, and muzzleloader. Do you " bow only" guys understand that it is possible to hunt in solitude and take " bow distance" shots with a gun or muzzleloader? Have you ever setup in thick cover with a gun where 50 yds is as far as you can see? You know, the kind of cover where deer just " appear" . You won' t see many other hunters there either. I love to bow hunt too but I am not so arrogant as to criticize those that hunt with a gun. A quality experience can be had with many different types of weapons. When you limit yourself like this you simply show your ignorance and lack of creativity. You should try thinking outside of the box you might be amazed at your discoveries. Actually, disregard the above rant, it makes more room in the woods for " barbarians" like myself.

I do all three, but since this was my first successful bow season, gun hunting has lost it' s edge!

I hunt with rifle and bow. I am just now getting into muzzle loaders.

Of all three, I enjoy bowhunting the most.

I've been bowhunting for 3 years now, and I just did my first gun hunt this year.
I'll do it again, but I like bowhunting a whole lot better.

I can only hunt public land, and the woods are just too crowded during shotgun seasons. I like going the entire day without hearing any manmade sound, unless of course I get to let an arrow fly.

I'm so glad I got my first deer with a bow.
I love shooting guns, and would enjoy hunting with them more if I could hunt private land without pressure, but things being as they are, I'll take bowhunting anytime.

Yeah, I gun hunt though I prefer archery any day! I shot a doe this morning with my gun and it was a pleasure since it was my first deer of the season. I usually bag about 6 archery kills a year, but this year I have been so busy. I graduate from college in January so next season I plan on going on a rampage.
