wow that looks like a damn good job of hot gluing....i wouldnt think that a deer could survive with an arrow in its lung and i think there would be a BIG mass of bone around the arrow.

I don' t know if it' s real or not, but I believe a deer could survive that because the lung would probably collapse down and heal and the lung cavity might be emtpy there where the broadhead is. Strange things happen sometimes.

I am glad others think the photo looks " hinky." Were the bones picked cleaned by maggots and then bleached? Anything is possible, but the story is bizarre.

Looks like something PETA would construct to have something for " show and tell" for their propaganda seminars.

Looks pretty squirrely to me too. Only thing that has me guessing is the swollen area of the second rib (to the left of the one with the arrow embedded in it). That would happen if that rib were cut by the broadhead, which it would have been at that angle of penetration.

You can get bones that clean easily if you know what you are doing, but to re-assemble the skeleton like that takes a real expert. It' s not easy to do.

I find it EXTREMELY hard to believe the deer could have survived that shot, with an arrow most of the way through one lung. Should have bled to death in a minute or two.

But you never know...
