What do you think about this???

I' m planning on hunting a spot tomorrow that has field to the NE, NW, SE, and SW. There are strip of timber dividing all fields. A creek that run north to south dividing it in two and small square of timber right in the middle of it all. I' ve tried to hunt it twice in the mornings and haven' t seen anything. I know there are probably deer in the field when I go in, so tomorrow I' m thinking about waiting till 8 or so to go. That way the deer will hopefully be off the fields and I can sneak in without being seen. And since the rut is going on hopefully there will be movement not long after I get there and then through the rest of day. What do you think about this tactic???

titleist,
I' d worry more about what WIND DIRECTION I hunted that spot on more-so than the time of day with the way bucks respond to this time of the year........Don' t hunt it if you get a prevailing wind that is heading the direction you expect to see or need deer to come from. You' ll just be shooting yourself in the foot.

No matter what wind I hunt the area my scent is blowing to one field or another. Tomorrow with a SW wind I will sit on the North east edge of square of timber about 10 yards from the NE field. I know there are 5 bucks that have been in the area. I' ve seen a massive eight. And I have him along with two smaller 8' s a 7 and a big 10 with split G-1' s all on photos from my stealth cam. So do you think I should go in before daybreak still or wait?
