I' m planning on hunting a spot tomorrow that has field to the NE, NW, SE, and SW. There are strip of timber dividing all fields. A creek that run north to south dividing it in two and small square of timber right in the middle of it all. I' ve tried to hunt it twice in the mornings and haven' t seen anything. I know there are probably deer in the field when I go in, so tomorrow I' m thinking about waiting till 8 or so to go. That way the deer will hopefully be off the fields and I can sneak in without being seen. And since the rut is going on hopefully there will be movement not long after I get there and then through the rest of day. What do you think about this tactic???
