It' s been really warm here too. Not to mention Windy!! It' s supposed to start cooling off tomorrow, with highs in the 50' s. Only problem with it is it' s supposed to rain most of the week too! [:@]

It' s supposed to rain pretty much all week here, clear up maybe fri and sat, and rain more sunday and into next week. I would rather have it a little warm than pouring down rain.

I sat in the 40* weather getting poured on for 6 total hours yesterday and saw one small buck out of the whole ordeal.

But as the old saying goes - it only takes one and you can' t get ' em if you' re not out there.

deer movement has been minimal in southern indiana, the temps are around 80 today and tomorrow, but we have a cold front moving through that should drop the temps by 25 degrees for friday, i am taking off work friday and monday, i' m hoping for an awesome weekend!

I hear your pain guys...most of October here in ND was well above normal(highs in the 70s and 80s). Winter finally hit us this past week. It is snowing as I speak and we are supposed to get another 5 inches. Signs of the rut are really picking up. Hang in there, it can' t stay warm forever.

Kansas has been much the same with highs in the 70s & 80s. Saturday was better and we saw several deer-mostly does and fawns. Forecast is for cooler temps starting Wednesday and thru the weekend. This is the time of year we expect to see the bucks start moving and that combined with the opening of bird season should have them going pretty good. At least I plan on being there when they come by.

yep , not only is it hot ! i decided to go out today ,which in the heat wave we we are having here in pa it' s pretty much a waste of time but i decided to go anyway, so i walk the mile from my house through the corn flakes(leaves) to my hunting spot only to find some old guy sitting on a log ,right in the direction the deer usually come from , so what do i do now ? i' m sweating like a pig and i don' t think this guy was even hunting!!! he had on an orange vest and a steelers cap so instead of screaming at him i said screw it and turned arund and walked back home , and now i' m drinking a few coldies!
