Dont forget Bear bows eother. They dont spend a bunch of money on marketing, but the name speaks volumes. I love shooting my Vapor 300. I see no reason to spend 500.00 on just the bow. My whole package from my local pro shop was 545.00 for everything including the case.

Check out Champion as well. Good prices with a lifetime backing.

To answer your question....

...some of the mid price range PSE models...the previously mentioned Tbolt, Beast, etc....

...the previously mentioned Martins, Phantom, Mag series, etc...

...Hoyt's Magnatec and MTSport are both under the price you quoted...

...Browning had the Ambush 80, Mirage 33 and Tornado in that price range though I haven't seen their 2002 lineup yet.

...and the much overlooked Jennings/Fred Bear/Buckmasters models of bows. The Rackmaster is excellent and retails for around $350....so is the Buckmaster Hypertech...$350....Whitetail Pursuit, etc.....

I agree w/ Coolerpup, the Bear bows are are a great deal in that range. I just got a new 2002 TRX. Extremely quiet & vibration free. It seems to pull allot easier than bows of similar weight, too. 305 IBO. $399.
