Default Superstitious hunters?

I' m just curious if any of you are superstitious? Do you have a lucky hat? or When you reach for an arrow in your quiver, Has it already killed multiple animals? I personally have an arrow that has been lucky enough to kill a couple of deer and I find when I grab an arrow that is the one I reach for. I know it sounds a bit quirky, but do you have a habbit you wish to share?

When I' m hunting in the morning....I use one arrow from light until an hour after(power hour) and then switch to another. When I' m hunting at night...an hour before last night(power hour), I switch to that same arrow. It' s never worked for me, but what the heck. Someday it will and then I can say it was because of that. LOL I never had a superstition(sp?), so I thought I' d start one. Call me goofy, I know.

Interesting. Anyone else have suggestions. A special grunt of rattle combo, or possibly even smoking a big fat cigar as I saw posted in another thread. I could go for the cigar. A couple of years ago during rifle season I went out and continued to blank day after day.not even a flag. I was getting pretty disgusted so I decided to smoke my " victory" cigar early. Sure enough with in 5 minutes of lighting up that cigar along came a herd of doe. It didn' t help much since I was hunting bucks only but none the less it raised my spirits. I havn' t tried that again as I like to remain sent free. If I get down and out again this year I' ll give it a try and let you know if it works. I have my doubts though.

Hate to break to ya guys, but there' s no superstitous element to bowhunting, just hard work, that' s about it. Sure, there' s a little chance involved, but it' s chance that' s gonna happen whether you smoke a fat one or wear the same underwear or not. I always hunt with the same arrow, but not because it brings me " luck," but because it simply flies the best. Hunt hard, focus deer, not superstition

Maybe it helps, maybe it doesn' t, but I' ll always have it with me on my hunts. So far my cardeer necklace has been on 19 caribou, 3 black bear, 1 elk, and 1 moose kill since May of 2001.

Never had that kind of success before the necklaces came along.

I think it has more to do with confidence then luck. If your lucky (insert item here) makes you feel more confident in your stand then it may help to some degree.

I had a stretch one time that every time I forgot to bring something I got a deer or could have. Like one of the nicest bucks I ever shot I forgot to bring my knife that AM. Has anyone else ever had to gut a deer with an old Bear Razorhead.[:' (] No superstitions I guess really, but I do pack to the absurd... like 2 of everything(flashlights, releases, knifes, etc) There was a stretch when I was young and recently married(less than 10 years married) that if my wife got exceptionally ammorous the night before or during the night it seemed like I got a really nice deer. At one point it got to the point we would joke about it.... like comeon honey... I really want to get a deer tomorrow. If I do I' ll take the weekend off from hunting and do husbandly things. I kid you NOT!!! Have you ever been in the middle of something and have the wife say... you' re using me for hunting.... and then laugh.[>:]

So now we' ve been married 32 years, the ammourous night are not like they were etc etc yada yada yada. I think the best I could do at this point is put in my order from the next batch of Cardeer Harvest Necklass'
