Here we are in the middle of October and the forecast for North Dakota is calling for highs in the 80' s. The deer, especially the bucks, up here just don' t move during daylight when it' s that warm. Hard to believe last year at this time we were under about 6 inches of snow. With rutting activity steadily increasing, it would sure be nice to get some cold weather.
Does the weather actually play much of a role in when the rut peaks? Or does the rut peak around the same time, but most of the activity is at night?

Just south of PA in Maryland we don' t have it that bad. Comfy in the woods all day right now. Not warm but not finger numbing clod either. Weather is for rain for tomorrow, since it ml early season, might catch up on some chores.
