buck_hunter, how long did you wait before you started trailing the deer? How long did you look for the deer? If the blood was bright red it probably was a muscle hit which could be in a lot of places. On suggestion for you would be to read the entire thread on " What to do after the shot" , this thread is full of a ton of excellent advice from how long to wait after the shot to how to tell from the arrow what kind of hit you got to actually trailing a hit deer.

OK I hope this is still the story about the other deer you hit and not a new one. If you are posting here, go to the next page and read all the questions asked about your shot. None of us were sitting in the tree with you, you have to provide more info or people will ignore/slam you here and you' ll never get help, which you obviously need. Now stop popping up these new need help threads without first giving more info to ones already started.

Is this the same deer you posted about the other day??
I listed a bunch of questions there - if you care to answer them - it may help
Well.....Its to late to find him - and It is impossible to tell where you hit him.
A 70 yd blood trail is very, very, short. All I can say is there was more blood out there that you did not find.
Was the shot a complete pass through??
If you really want help to learn what you may have done wrong you need to really describe exactly what happened and what you did to find him.
