Congrats on a great looking buck and a good story Solax!
Jimimac we all make mistakes, some of us are lucky and have never lost a deer, others have. Which would you rather have, a young hunter who hears of others mistakes and learns from them or a young hunter who has to learn from his own mistakes only? Would you rather a hunter make a mistake and keep it a secret and possibly learn nothing or would you rather they ask for help from other more experienced hunters and learn how not to repeat the mistake?
The world of hunting is not all about successful hunts, it also involves failures and mistakes, if no one ever confessed to a mistake how in the world are they or any one else going to learn how not to repeat it?
Jimimac if your child made a mistake would you rather he told you to where you could help him out or would you rather he kept it a secret?
Thats awesome man. Great buck and a cool story. It sure beats the wounding stories. I wish everyone would just keep them to themselves.

That' s a nice one--looks like he' s close to P&Y with that tine length.
I had made a prediction that I was gonna shoot a nice 8 point last night at 6:20pm. The one I was after did show up at exaxtly that time, but RAN through the shooting lane I had. Little did I know it was gonna be YOU that was successful at that minute!
Congrats on a really nice buck.
