If you take a look at the MB as I type this, you will see that it is clogged full of "gear" related topics. Thought provoking posts like Stealthycat's, Rack-Attacks, Len in Maryland's, Tazman's, JG Hunter's, and others, are getting pushed off by the same ole same ole "gear" posts which IMO should be on the technical forum and have been beat to death a million times. "Twin Cams, Performance of mechanicals (again), Carbon Arrow Camo Finish (who cares?), and yet another wanting to know opinions on a set-up, and another wanting the email address of Hoyt??? Bowtech vs. Parker another bow vs. bow thread, and which carbon arrows are the best??? Can't those topics go on the technical forum?

Guys,
Since I am the one who originally asked for the knife forum, I feel bad. I NEVER meant for it to start into a gear forum that would possibly take away from this bowhunting forum!!
However, my vote would be to leave the bowhunting AND technical forums ALONE!
The gear forum would be GREAT, BUT IT SHOULD BE FOR ANYTHING ELSE THAT WE CANNOT DISCUSS HERE!!!!!! I believe this would work best. I personally think it is getting analyzed way too much, but then again, I'm not a moderator, and I don't know what it's like I guess!
Again, I'm sorry to have started a post that would possibly end up taking away from this great bowhunting forum, which I dearly love to participate in.

Not to pick on anyone but the following is yet another post that IMO should be in a "gear" or "technical" forum because it has nothing to do with "hunting". I don't know why I'm complaining because evidently I'm the sole dissenter of the group so far but it is a bit much when the majority of posts on the bowhunting forum are posts that could very easily be in the technical forum. OR the answers could easily be obtained by folks doing a search or two.

our local pro shop just got a brand spankin new golden eagle splitfire
36 in. the price- $259.00
all the other splitfire models are around $400.00 . there's not that much difference in make up of the bow, as far as limb type, riser, cam type etc.
I wonder why there's that much difference in the price? anybody have any
idea?

THERE...I just went and "bumped" all of the non-gear topics for my own personal viewing pleasure.<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_clown.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_clown.gif border=0 align=middle>

Keep it here. I dont want to go from forum to forum looking for different gear. If it has to do with bow hunting, thne put it in the bow forum same with rifle, blackpowder, etc. A knife question can be answered here just as easily as a string, or arrow rest question. If you flood it with different forums, I know Ill get bored or just plain not have the time to search each and every one.
Yes Wolfen68 you are the sole dissenter....am I surprised???? NO
