BOWDACIOUS it sounds like the trip was a great one, I know what happened with that bull had to have been heart breaking, at least you know what you did wrong and will learn from it. Your wife and daughter sound like they both need to practice more and should also avoid hunting in the rain unless it is a slam dunk shot. I won' t hunt when it is pouring. Glad you are back, hopefully your wife and daughter can stick one successfully this year after some more practice. You may want to double check that your wifes peep is set at a natural height for her, if a peep is set right and you hit your anchor point the peep should line up automatically.

I guess I just don' t understand how this could possible be such a great hunting trip. Man, wounding and seeing that Bull running away with my arrow stuck in him sure would have ruined my trip.

Ok I know he is a moderator and everything so maybe that is why the faithful haven' t gotten on their soap boxes and said their feelings but IT SUCKS TO HAVE 3 ANIMALS AND NO RECOVERY. I don' t care how cool the bugling was and all that other stuff. Maybe next time you should just watch Elk Country Journal rater than leave a majestic animal left for dead.

I don' t understand why there is no story about tracking of the wounded elk?

3 wounded animals and none recovered. That is a rough batting avg.

I won' t bash you b/c I don' t know the entire story, but I' m not sure that' s the kind of information that needs to be posted. Good luck the rest of the season.

This almost seems like a test, or a joke, to see what type of flack it will stir up compared to other similar and less offensive posts by non-moderators. I surely hope so, anyway. Why else would a moderator post such stuff? Who knows?

I was considering that too when I first posted. Now it seems pretty probable that this is some sort of setup. Bowdacious hasn' t really caught too much flak do you think? I' ve seen way worse right here on this BBS. Why the silence moderators??? Can' t stomach giving a fellow moderator some coaching? Why no follow up from Bowdacious himself? This is most likely a ruse of some sort for sure.
