I' m a bit slow when it comes to reading the regs for season limits and tags. In Missouri you buy an archery tag that is good for 2 deer & 2 turkey. An archer is permited to take 1 buck before rifle season and 1 buck after rifle season. Now the question: Is the 1 tag I have what I need to use for a buck before rifle season and after rifle season? Or can I get a seperate Archery tag for after rifle season? Trying to figure out whether I should be an antlerless-only tag for where I' m at so I' m not unknowingly blowing a buck tag on a doe. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, let me see if I can sort this out for ya. Archery tags 2 deer of any kind, but only 1 buck prior to rifle and one after. You can use both tags anytime you want on antlerless deer.
If you want to Bow hunt During rifle season you must buy a rifle permit and wear orange.
I am planning to hunt a urban unit and can kill unlimited antlerless deer.
I bought 2 bonus tags for $5 ea and am planning to use those first antlerless deer that comes along and save the anydeer for a buck.
I hope this helps, if all else fails call the MDC in your area and ask them.

OK so those are my ONLY 2 antlerless tags that I can get? So I should be going out with some bonus tags for my unit to take antlerless IF I want to take a buck before and after rifle season?
I think that makes sense. THanks!

Those are the only 2 ANY deer permits you are allowed with a bow. You can get unlimited Antlerless permits, if you hunt in a urban unit. Any deer permits = bucks, does, buttons. Antlerless = does, buttons

The unlimited anterless only tags are not limited to " urban units" in MO. A hunter with a Resident or Nonresident Archer' s Hunting Permit may purchase any number of Antlerless-Only Archery Deer Hunting permits for use in Units 1 through 40, 45 through 52, 58 and 59. Each permit is valid for one antlerless deer in any of the 50 units. These permits may be purchased from any permit vendor for $5 each. Archer' s Hunting permits also are valid in these units. Permits may be used in any order. But like Phil said, only 1 antlered buck before gun season. If you' re like me I burn up all my $5 anterless only' s until the freezer is full and use the 2 any-deer for muy grande.
