Hey guys! Guess what? I' m lucky enough to be one of the three others on the lease with Ausie-Guy. Wow, what a great weekend.
We get there on friday and scope out our new lease and decide our game plan, on where each one of us is going to hunt. Driving in we saw a wolf crossing the road about 2 miles from our lease. Henry sees a " big" pig running through the lease and we all see a doe friday evening.
Now here' s the one funny and sad part, Sat morning Ausie has just climbed up in the tree and is getting ready to pull up his bow and here comes a doe and her fawn right around the tree, they jump over his bow and run on down the trail just waving their tails at him. Damn the luck.
Then Sunday morning about 5:45 Ausie is walking to the same stand and gets chased by one of our " smaller" pigs. We estimated it about 300 lbs. (If you don' t believe me on " smaller" look at Ausies thread about our pig hunting trip a few weeks back and the pictures!) He gets chased around the tree and then the pig is gone. I don' t think the pig realized it was Ausie or he would have been running the other way. (Sunup wasn' t for another 90 minutes)
I was just as unlucky, I had a doe 15 yards away, right under my " new" stand but couldn' t get a clear shot because of that @#!%@# tree limb! Guess what? That tree limb isn' t there anymore!!!!!
We had a great weekend. Looking forward to next weekend with our exploits. And Ausie will probably have photos our some of our resident pigs!!!

I forgot to mention that the first night we had a blck bear come rumaging thru camp looking for some freebies. Ausie guy was ready the next night he sat up with his " Crocodile Dundee" knife waiting for a new bear skin rug to put his next years " BOWTECH BABY" on. But all to no avail.
Me.....I slept in the back of my pickup. Momma didn' t raise no fool here!
