Default FULL MOON & DEER HUNTING - BAD ??

I am headed to Illinois / Indiana on November 7th.... hunting till the 15th.... Full moon is the 9th....

What is everyones opinion of hunting during the Full moon Phase ??? I am worried as some people say - no good... and this is the first time my son (10) is going and has never seen a deer.... and I want him to have a good trip. The deer are usually chasing does the week I get there.- I go same time every year....

Any time in the woods is a better chance than sitting on the coach.

My 10-2 is just what the highest % of movement I have noticed.

Bucks should be chasing does by then, so I would hunt as much as I could. Chances are you will see deer.

hunt as much as you can. You can' t kill a deer if you are not in the woods.

Hey guys....

I think you misunderstood me... trust me - I WILL be in the woods - everyday....I was just searching for opinions on deer hunting during the week of a full moon and observations of it' s effect on deer movement etc.... thats all - a simple question from curiousity

Thanks

In my neck of the woods it seems to make for great morning hunts after a full moon. I have taken my two best bow buck at this time and early in the morning too!!! They seem to move a lot around then so I get between the feed and bedding and usually have a good morning of seeing deer. I know some who think just the opposite and don' t have the luck I do but it may be different in some areas. My only advice it to get out real early and sit as long as you can (as long as your son will let you). The other advice is, make it as much fun as you can for him so he will enjoy the many years ahead with you and his children. Kudos to you for sharing your hunting time with your child!!!! That is more important than the hunt itself!!!!!!!
