How was Opening Day for bowhunters here in the Badger State?

Dude I waited all year for this day and couldn' t make it out!!!!!! I started a new gig for 9 weeks! 6 days a week 10 hours a day! We started rigging the fly system in the new Milwaukee Theatre this week! I wanted to spend some quality time with my 7 year old! My last 2 days off in a row for a while! Kinda puts a damper on my early season bow! BUT I do plan on a couple of sick days in the middle of the week some time in the near future!!!![X( Cough...Cough, I think I am getting the Flu! Anyway good luck to everyone! Plus I bought a new Blazer for this season and I will be able to pay it off before the rut! Gotta love that! Like I said good luck!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way.......Wisconsin Bowhunters is the name of my fantasay Hockey, Baseball and Football teams!!!!![:-][:-][:-][:-]lol

I never made it out today. I went to the club and set my cam sync and timing. Just got my parts in the mail last Tuesday. Plan on going out after work all next week. Today would have been a pretty miserable sit around here anyway. Lots of rain all day.

Man, what a miserable bunch we are!!! I could not get out this weekend either!

Nub, I know what you mean about the rain, but it has been so dry around here, I think I would have liked sitting in the rain waiting to see a deer.

Did ANYONE get out for the Wisconsin opener?

Made it out Sat. morning. One deer tried to sneek through. He would have if he wouldn' t of made so much noise. It was nice to be out again and away from it all. Amazing how fast I can sleep in a stand. Took my 7 year old out Sat. evening with me. He said we had to go no matter what. Put our rain suits on! We were in the stand only 5 minutes when mom and the kid hung out by us for a half hour. Didn' t sit until closing due to the fact of rain!! One of the guys who comes to the shop shot a nice 6 in full velvet. After he shot the buck two coyotes came up and checked out the arrow stuck in the ground. Now there is one. It' s still raining this morning, that' s why I' m here instead of in the woods. Hopefully this afternoon. Gotta hunt!
