Default First Crossbow Kill

2012-2013 Season Success Pictures-photo.jpg

My dad recently bought a crossbow (couldn't tell you what kind because I never use em). So I took it out, hadn't even shot it yet, and on the first time using, first time shooting, slayed this bad boy. Not to mention, dad was in the stand with me and 10 min after my kill, another buck walked in and, using the same crossbow, he laid the smackdown too.

Been awhile since I've been on here, but still hunting up a storm!

2004 Mathews Legacy 70# shooting Easton Axis 400 carbons with Wasp Bullet heads.

October 12, 2012 took off work early since a storm was rolling in, figured it would get them on their feet early and I was right. Shot this guy coming in to check a scrape right at sunset.

Back from the Taxi:

December 22, 2012 Urban hunt doe double:

I bought a used 2011 Bowtech Assassin 70# before spring turkey season. Picked up some Easton 400 FMJ's and used a Slick Trick head.

Spring turkey #1, 27 lbs, 1.25 inch spurs, 10.5" beard:

Spring turkey #2, couple days later, 17 lbs, 3/4 inch spurs, 11" beard:

Default No giant

I had wanted to do a European mount for a long time and this deer seemed to be a good candidate. He is no giant but is my largest bowkill to date and I wanted to do something special with him.

Default October 8, 2013 PA Archery Buck

2013 Pennsylvania Archery Kill. Shot October 8 2013 in Somerset County Pa. Shot him at 40yd as he calmly fed in my foodplot I planted in August. I shot him with a Horton Legend HD 175lb crossbow using Gold Tip 2 laser 2 bolts with Nocturnal lighted nocks, and Rage 2 blade 100gr Broadheads. Executed a Double lung shot he traveled about 60yd and piled up very quickly. My best archery buck so far! He was originally a 8pt but he busted a brow off early in velvet he had a knob that i could tell was busted off early in the year. He's a 7pt with a 15 7/8" spread. He field dressed at 168lb so he was 200lb+ live weight. I am very happy with him he definitely was a big help to stocking the freezer back up for the winter. Now I have 2 Doe tags that I will fill in the coming weeks. Goodluck to my fellow archery hunters. Hunt smart hunt Ethically be safe and have a good time.

Congrats to everybody on their trophies this year, I recently bought a Hoyt charger and have not killed a deer with a bow in five years last night October 13 me and my dad were sitting about 70 yards apart but could not see each other, but he heard everything at about 6:45 a nice six point came in and I decided to shoot him. I hid him square in the heart and 1 lung. He went 75 yards and piled up it was my first buck with bow,(way cooler than gun hunting). I am hooked.
