It' s That Time
#1
With elk season only 5 days away here in Montana, I got out and shot for the first time today fully loaded with my gear (new backpack, bino-buddy, etc) just to make sure everything was squared away and that I could still draw smoothly and get a clean release.
Seasoned bowhunters are well aware of this, but for you guys that are new to the sport, it' s extremely important to take the time to shoot while wearing your hunting clothes, day packs, face mask, etc PRIOR to the season opener. This includes long sleeves and a jacket. You don' t want to find out that your string comes in contact your bunched up sleeve when you release that string for the first time under hunting conditions!
Good luck.
