I' m retired and while our Archery Deer Season opens September 1 and runs through September 30. Elk opens September 8 and closes the 21. So I will hunt elk from the 8th to the 21st and deer from the 21st to the 30th.[8D]

Our season up here runs from Oct. 1-Nov 14 then Dec. 1-Jan 1 so I like to save a little for each season. I usually take a week from Nov 7-14 then I can take a couple of days to try the rifle out. In December I use up my days here and there (usually around Christmas and New Years to get a couple of days off in a row) I like my winter bow hunting but we really haven' t had the cold or snow in the past few years to get things moving. Hope to tag a good one and a couple does this year. Good luck to you all!!!

Here in West Virginia the bow season runs from Oct. 18 to Dec. 31.
I plan to use a few vacation days by taking off November 14-22 this week always seems to be a good one for me, its the week before gun season.

I have a week planned in early to mid December. Isn' t supposed to be for hunting, the wife should have our second child around then. But I told her she was crazy if I was taking time off during hunting season and not go out!! She just gives me one of those crazy wife looks!!

I am taking off from Oct. 31-Nov. 10. I will be in Illinois for 7 of those days. The other three will be spent bowhunting in Arkansas. Other than that I will take half days here and there whenever the mood strikes me.

I have scheduled my leave for 0ct 24th thru Nov 17th--that should get me some action!

With my schedule, I' m usually off during the week, so I get 3 evenings and 2 mornings every week without using any leave. I get out a lot.
