Made me hungry![:-] This is 1/2 of a backstrap I had left over. I always heard this was a good way of cooking them so I thought I' d give it a try. I cut the strap into inch and a half thick rounds. I then seasoned one side of a strip of bacon with Grill Mates Monterey Steak spice. I wrapped that side of the bacon around the edge of the steaks and secured with some kabob sticks. Didn' t have any toothpicks.
I cooked them a little long for my tastes, but what can I say, the wife eats her stuff well done. I just took the thickest ones.
Seasoned both sides while cooking with the grill mates. Ate them bacon and all. And it was FANTASTIC! You got to try that Grill Mates stuff. They make a Kansas City style thats great if you like it a hotter spice. I have the other half all made up and ready to grill.

If you had any teeth and taste buds left, you crotchety old fart, you' d know there was more to life than soup. You might even be able to keep your pants on if you could manage some solid foods. [
