I' m from Newark, DE but have family in Harrison County. Inlaws, uncles and cousins meet up every November for a week of deer hunting. Lots of deer but still looking for the big one. My 10 year old son and I come in to turkey hunt in the spring. The November hunt is reserved for male adults only! There' s something about WV that' s got me hooked. Hunting aside, it must be the beauty of the state and the people!-Ken

Below is 2 more bucks that were harvest in the (4) bow hunting only counties in West Virginia. The first one was harvest in 2001 and the 2nd one in 2002. Both scored in the 140' s.

PORK CHOP, Trust me.....there are some monsters in this state!!! Many in the bow only counties....... I have watched several here in my county that would make book big time! However, most of the big boys ( as par usual ) go nocturnal but we do have some very lucky hunters here. For me it will be next season before I am able to go out with a bow. Rifle only for me this year...... Good Luck again this year PkChop, The county you hunt is a Great one to hunt! Enjoy.......

Hey Gutshot, Good Luck to you and your brother this year....shoot me an email for some good and bad hunting news on " this" part of WV.
