For a starter: When I was beginning in 1963, I was told Never draw down on a target. Always come up on your target.
I' m not sure that this will help but it has always worked for me and I don' t have to hold long on the mark. When I have acquired the mark I am ready to shoot. It works especially well when hunting and my No-Peep even improves this for me too.

Are you trying to " freeze" the pin on the " spot." If you are, you will shake. Don' t try to come into your POA and then try to " lock" the pin . Learn to slowly drift into your POA and time your release as you come on target. I suspect that very few shooters can " lock" a pin on target.
