The unicorn is not a ficticous animal.. It is a deer that someone tried a head shot on and is now running around with an easton 2117 sticking out of its nose.[] The brain is a very small target and is on the fastest responding part of a deer, they can move their head anytime they hear noise in alot less time than it takes for an arrow to arrive at 300 fps at 20 yards. The shot would be very unethical and should never be taken!!!

I have to agree with the rest of the posts. No head shots and I' d like to add the neck as well. If I can' t hit the vitals, the deer walks, period end of story.

Red Hawk welcome to the wonderful world of bowhunting. Of couse a head shot should NEVER be taken ever on large game animals. Only broadside or quartering away shots only. I noticed your from California, I don' t know about out there but here in PA they have a bowhunter education couse you can take voluntarily. In fact I just completed it this past weekend. I am not new to bowhunting, been hunting with a bow for about 10 years I just wanted to improve myself and be prepared for when I go to other states to hunt that require you have a bowhunter certification to get a license. Go take one of those courses, they are very informative and are especially geared towards new hunters. The PA course is a very affordable $18.

Head shot everytime. No trailin needed. Doesnt mess up any meat either. You will wound far less animals aiming for the head.

Nope. Every deer I ever shot at I either missed clean or hit in the head or just below. Never had a deer run/flop over 15 ft.
