The advantage is that they will help to reduce the vibration caused by the cables and reduce the vibration transfered by the friction of the cable slide. The only disadvantage is that sometimes the cable slide may hit the cable dampener and add a noise. Shoot both ways to see. Not all bows will make the noise. 99% of the time there will be no noise.
