huntn freak, I do some of that. As it happens, I just posted a picture of my first archery mule deer on the 'do you remember your first doe and buck bowkill' thread.

Like jvanduse mentioned for Idaho, we are fortunate here in British Columbia to have a variety of big game species.

I attempt to hunt elk and mule deer, it's more like elk and mulie chasing, missing, and spooking, I also pretend to hunt blacktails. But with some tabasco the tags eat real well, though a bit tough! Where do you hail from huntn freak?

Hunted Mules for several years but have been sticking to the coast and the little blacktails, pigs and turkeys for the last few years.

I know how you feel...but there are about a zillion whitetail deer (that may be an exaggeration<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>) and about a zillion plus one whitetail hunters.

Elk hunting is becoming a late summer ritual for my brother and me. Blacktail deer during the fall and early winter.

Mulies are the rule out here. The only Whitetails I've ever gone after are the Couse type. &quot;bout the size of a large dog, tough little buggers though. We have some really nice Mule Deer out here, both in the desert and up the forest. Also, every year either my son, wife, or me get an Elk tag.
By the way, Unit 5A is our favorite area for Elk, know every tree and canyon where we go like the back of my hand.

Hunt elk and mule deer in Montana. Live to do it and center my life around it. I would say that alot of whitetail hunters are here because there is alot more places with whitetail. Here in Montana we have both and Elk. So you get some Elk and Mule deer in the Biggame.com board.
