Mulies are the rule out here. The only Whitetails I've ever gone after are the Couse type. "bout the size of a large dog, tough little buggers though. We have some really nice Mule Deer out here, both in the desert and up the forest. Also, every year either my son, wife, or me get an Elk tag.
By the way, Unit 5A is our favorite area for Elk, know every tree and canyon where we go like the back of my hand.
