I need some help on sighting in my broadheads. I bought a new LX and I am using PSE Comp 200 arrows. When sighting in my field points, I was dead on. Now when I add my Thunderhead 100' s, my shot placement is off. One arrow will shoot a little high and then the other will shoot a little low. Can anyone give me some advice as to sighting in arrows with broadheads.
Is it just trial and error with different arrows. I have only put two broadheads on the two arrows. I haven' t tried the other 10. Should I, or is there something I can do to make the first two fly more consistent??
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I only have 104 days left before hunting season!!!

I would start with paper tuning your bow and work from there. Do a search on paper tuning through this forum....i know it has been explined in great detail on some of the older posts. Often an arrow will fly straight with field tips but as soon as you get that broadhead on there you will quickly see how " tuned" your bow is. Best of luck to you!

The system I use for BH' s takes a little time, but
works very well for me.
1. First and foremost, make sure my bow is properly
tuned and shooting well. Before I went to a drop
away, vane/fletching clearance always seemed
to be a problem. It' s possible to get away with rest
contact with field tips, but BH' s can be a different
story.
2. This should go without saying...make sure arrows
are of the correct spine.
3. I number each arrow and BH.
4. I then proceed to find which combinations fly the way
I want them to. I save old blades that I have shot
before and use them with the new BH' s...that way
I' m not ruining new blades and can save them for
hunting.
5. Once I find a BH and arrow that fly well, I set them
aside for hunting only. This is a combination for
the life of each...if I use the arrow in the field, I just
replace the dull blades with new ones (unless of course
I hit one of those big rocks in Arizona, which I seem
to do every year[
][:@]).
From my experience I seem to get about 4-6 out of a dz.
arrows to match up with a BH. I' ve used Muzzy, Wasp, &
Thunderheads over the years, along with Gold Tip & Easton
ACC arrows.
I use the arrows that I can' t match up (get to fly right with
BH' s) for 3-D and shooting practice.
Hope this gives you some ideas and Good Luck

If you go to the Easton Website [URL below] they have an EXCELLENT and complete Tuning Guide in PDF. I think you will find it informative and very helpful.

Thanks alot Two Beards and Dick Cress. I will try all my arrows and bh' s tonight, after golfing (my summer passion) and hopefully I will get them shooting accurate. That Easton guide is pretty helpful too. Thanks again and good luck hunting this year!!
God Bless.
